Sky Kurlbaum is a founder of ePlanners (www.eplannow.org), a national "think tank" organization in the estate and tax planning areas which provides professional education to attorney members from around the United States.
Jeffrey Rinne, a Georgetown Law School graduate, has been practicing for over 20 years and has his masters in taxation from the University of Missouri at Kansas City School of Law. Jeff concentrates his practice on estate planning, taxation and trust and probate administration. Jeff is a co-founder of the firm.

January 16, 2015. Sky Kurlbaum attends week long Heckerling Institute on Estate Planning put on by the University of Miami Florida. Scuyler M.P. Kurlbaum, J.D., CPA
Sky Kurlbaum has been a lawyer for over 30 years practicing in the areas of business, tax and estate planning. He also passed his CPA exam in 1981, just before his 21st birthday, and is a Kansas licensed CPA. He earned degrees in business administration, economics and accounting while at Drury University where he graduated cum laude. While there, he was also a member of the school's National Championship basketball team. Sky attended the University of Missouri at Kansas City law school and graduated with distinction. Sky has served as an adjunct professor at the law school.
Sky worked for two of the largest law firms in Kansas City for the first ten years of his practice becoming a tax partner prior to age 30. He has been practicing in a smaller firm environment for the past 20 plus years. In multiple years, Sky has been named Best of Bar and Super Lawyer by his peers. He is AV rated by Martindale Hubble.
An avid believer in the spirit of American entrepreneurialism, Sky started his first businesses when he was only 19 and just a Junior in college--Sky's Ski and Sail (a retail sail boat and water ski shop) and Estate Management (a lawn care company), both at Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri. Before turning 30, Sky also started a company called "Law Card", a private label credit card company for payment of legal fees. It operated nationwide and was innovative enough to warrant a write up in the New York Times. Today, Sky and his family own and operate Kurlbaum's Heirloom Tomatoes (www.kurlbaumtomatoes.com) a purveyor of fine tomatoes that supplies over 40 Kansas City area restaurants with tomatoes during the summertime. Sky offers his business, legal, tax and accounting services gained over his lifetime to people and the businesses they own. Sky and his wife Liz have five children and live in Overland Park, KS.
Sky spends his spare time with his family enjoying gardening and sporting activities. Sky has played baseball in the Men's Senior Baseball League, enjoys waterskiing, fishing and pretty much anything outdoors. Sky is a hobby Website Designer as well and designed this website among others for businesses and chartable activities.
